Your cottage is only a couple of minutes walk from a friendly village pub that serves food, and just a couple of steps away from the Old School Tea Rooms serving delicious cakes and lunches. For walkers, you can leave you car in the private off road parking and walk along the coastal path to both Staithes and Runswick Bay, enjoying stunning, far reaching sea views as you walk.

Prefer to explore by car or bike? The North York Moors National Park is yours to roam – or head just 8 miles to Whitby, where cobbled streets lead to historic medieval yards, the hauntingly beautiful Abbey, and tales of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Start your morning slowly with coffee in your south facing courtyard style garden and then return to Hinderwell after a day of exploration to unwind in the cosy  village pub, or enjoy tea and cake in the Old School Tea Rooms. 

 Wonderful week spent in a perfect cottage, great attention to detail, information book and welcome packs etc. Enjoyed evenings in by the log fire and great walks during the day around the local area. Thanks again for the thoughtful touches around the cottage.

We’ve partnered with Cleaner and Greener, a local eco-conscious team, who use ethical, sustainable products to ensure a spotless stay. 

 Had a wonderful week celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Sealark is so comfortable and everything has been chosen with thought and love. House was so clean and smelt amazing. 5 stars all round. We loved it
