There are so many things to do locally that can make your celebration special. 

For eating out, we would recommend the Homestead Kitchen in Goathland. This is a restaurant we go to for special occasions or just to treat ourselves. Goathland is such a pretty village, and the food at the award-winning restaurant has always been amazing. Homestead Kitchen

In the summer months, you could enjoy a meal at The Waterside Chainbridge in Ruswarp. In the summer, you can dine outside on the banks of the river Esk, watching the rowers and swans gliding by, or spotting heron on the river bank. There are lots of lights in the trees, soft music playing, little fires and lots of flowering plants in pots – you almost feel you are eating in the Meditteranean.  The Waterside

What about a ride on a steam train (seasonal only) on the North Yorkshire Moors Railways. Enjoy an unforgettable as you travel through the breathtaking North York Moors National Park. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.  Tickets give you the freedom to explore the 24-mile line, between Pickering, Levisham, Goathland, Grosmont, and Whitby stations.
